Though Skelebratz's first skin was in 2018, they downloaded skinseed in 2017. They had humble beginnings, and their first post was a skin titled "Eclipsa the Wizard Cat!" who was an early rendition of their fursona. One of their first few skins included the other name for their fursona, named after themself, Emily. Then, they fell into an Undertale hyperfixation, leading to the skelecat arc. They were also active in a few other fandoms, such as fnaf. There was a group of skinseeders whom Skelebratz had an interest in (and became mutually aquainted with) going by the usernames XInkTaleSansX (Ink), XInkFellSansX (crayon), XUnderFellSansX (fell), Under_tale_Frisk (frisk, of course), and _PaperJam_ (jam). These people were their first sense of community. They wrote fanfiction about the original Emily Skelecat, and some other people's personas and ocs. They also made recolors and "repost with (thing)" skins in this era. Skelebratz was 9 years old when they began posting. After a point, Emily was starting to get equally as invested in FNAF, so they had some interactions with the user AUBERGINE_MAN and other Day Shift At Freddy's accounts. During this time, Skelebratz was an active part of the #DownWithTheThot/#DWTT movement against RockstarFreddy. Emily was interested in the concept of multiverses, tf2, and Eddsworld. They edited a pixel art base that was relatively common among the SS Undertale community and called it a "bitty." Bitties were all over Skelebratz skins for a while. Skelebratz had a handful of "dare" skins where they would take dares. They also posted what they called "laser pointer skins" where whoever the laser was pointed at, Skele would "attack" their skin by copying the front layers and scribbiling over it with red pixels.

Skelebratz had a short lived "split personality phase" with five personalities: Emily, Emi (based off of Eddsworld Edd), Sheila (based off of the Sniper from TF2), Emma (probably based on Underfell Sans) and blue raspberry, based off of underswap sans. Skelebratz also did Sign up skins for books they were writing, such as Identity Theives. (original spelling of the title) It was based on the "multiverse" aspect of Skelecat, having multiple different versions of herself go through some weird mirror dimension, most likely inspired by the book "Behind the Bookcase." The book lasted three chapters and Skele never finished the fourth.    
   
Skelebratz then had an SCP phase, where they had another crusade with a pixel art rendition of SCP-173 that would snap the nearest skin's neck. A couple of Skele's older skins have clearly been edited, having contradicting pixel art and descriptions. Those are to explain the irony of Skele previously hating furries, and some queer concepts and then later going on to date a furry, befriend multiple, and become queer in a way they cannot describe.    
   
Skelecatz's pixel art persona shifted in direction late in 2019, changing around styles and appearances. Eventually, the ever-iconic blue shirt of the original was traded out for a light purple hoodie and some jeans. Eventually, Skele made their own pixel art, dawning a more pale purple. At a certain point, Skele rejected pixel art for the most part and posted doodles instad. Skele was in a mutual-ish friendship with iNewton, a popular skin creator who had objecthead ocs and commonly would wipe their account and start over a few times. They posted a short poem that prompted them to make a poetry account (which has since been lost media). Some of Skele's side accounts were one of an undertale au known as "buttontale," a hybrid of underswap and coraline and a purple neighbor account called "freaky neighbor". Then Skele became interested in pixel art again, making some pixel art for emily skelecat again. Skele had a mini obsession with worms on strings, made a couple bases, talked about a comic concept based off of the zombies of eddsworld called "Brain Dead." They made a short lived "murder stuff" series which was just cool facts about murders. They flooded the recents with SCP-079, a computer themed scp. Skelebratz had a short series called killing with a killer, where they prepared "umbreon fillet" at a request. They made a couple of the posts found under the #ohsosmexyskinstealer tag.    
   
Later on, Skelebratz found out Pokey was stealing their friend's art, and attempted to expose him for it, starting a small, short lived drama between the two. They were involved with a small group called diemart, and betrayed it by "killing" one of the employees (Detlem). They also made a tag called #yesthosearephrogs for people posting pixel art of frogs. Skele started to develop more pixel art of a persona, this time human, and also themself, and posted about a new oc, Edgar, which later overtook Emily.
